See? And you all thought that Disneyland was the happiest place in the world? Consider your next holiday folks, read on, from Yahoo this morning:
Australia is the happiest nation in the world and one of the world's most liveable countries, separate international surveys have found.
In the 'happiness' survey, conducted by market research company Gfk NOP, more than 30,000 people were surveyed internationally on factors such as environment, quality of life and health, with Australia coming out on top.
The Economist Intelligence Unit's liveability ranking rated 127 cities in the categories of stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure.
Melbourne was named the world's second most liveable city, with Perth, Adelaide and Sydney coming equal fifth.
"These surveys confirm what many of us have already known, and reflects why more and more tourists are choosing Australia as their destination of choice to take a holiday," Federal Tourism Minister Fran Bailey said.
Tourism Australia Chairman Tim Fisher said Australia "should be the first choice for travellers around the world wanting to be amongst the happiest people on Earth and wanting to experience the world's most liveable cities and its most unique rural, regional and remote spaces." - Travelpress travel news
