there is a chance you will still get some offshore days in Kuta which would be the best under 3 ft location , but it will probably already be onshore.

Wet Season October'ish to March April side...
Turtlel Island also known as Serangan could be a good bet, it does have rock and bit of live coral bottom but one of the safer locations,
Nusa Dua off the golf course southern end could be ok on the smaller days .
Also Sri Lanka which is a break in front of the Club Med. this one is probably the most dangerous reef of the three above , but also the easiest to paddle out with a channel.

this book is the best with surfing info about indonesia and you can order it online or you can buy it in any surf shop in Kuta when you get here .
I would get it now and study it so your on it by the time you get here.
