we had a the same problem and our parents didn't want us to take the kids (5 & 9) but after discussing the dangers and situation they are still want to go. my nine year old even said" mum i could get hit by a car riding my bike to school and die, so i want to have fun in bali" we were there in may and there was a bombing and we didn't even though about it. i put it this way- there are more deaths on the roads here than people dieing in bali, who to say we won't have a car accident! after reading this forum and other peoples experience over there at the moment, we made our choice to enjoy our time as a family. we took extra careful last time and our kids spent most of the time in the kids club while we shopped. we plan to meet other families off the forum over there for drink and for the kids to play. There is all something wrong anywhere in the world don't let it stop living the life you love. hope you make the right decision i know we have.
