go through the cashiers at the back of the shop, grab the hand rail and touch the counter at the same time. Keep your cell phone in your pocket as theres enough of a tingle there to instantly recharge the batteries.
Shocking that its been happening for a couple of years and they are not doing anything about it.
What we find often happens here is that when the power to an appliance is insufficient, the "electrician" will re-route the live back to the source through the earth wire creating a circuit. This is particularily dangerous when the appliance using the power is a water pump, pool equipment etc.
Still the earth wire is seldom more than a decoration in alot of cases here, so may as well put it to work!
After all these years here, I tend to automatically touch an electrical product with the back of my hand prior to grabbing it, just to see if its live or not. Thats everything from the toaster to the switch-board door.(If it is live and your hand convulses from the shock it will not close around the object).
