Firstly, I agree that the posts are a bit rambled and random. Sometimes we are typing long posts and by the time they get on they are outdated LOL. Look at the times they are posted and it does help a little.
I was trying to reply to a post asking Smirf what they were referring to.
If you type "smirf" in "search the forum" you will see a list of what they have previously posted. From their post I presumed they was referring to their friend that they informed us earlier this week had received texts regarding the bomb. As everyone seemed a little confused and may not have read their previous posts I thought this would make what he was trying to say clearer. Sorry if I only confused the issue!!
As far as informed choice (I think I said decision)goes, we travel up to Bali 3 times a year with next year already booked. Like a lot of people we now have to make a decision on whether or not to go.
We have to cut through all the hype and emotion and decide if we want to risk going. Since the last bomb, which we barely missed, we have not been 100% comfortable in Bali. As I have posted earlier, things that you may not usually consider (unusually parked vehicles/big coats on hot days/backfires/powercuts etc etc) take on a new sinister significance. We will make a decision based on as much information as we can collect. A lot is innuendo and some just downright untrue. We will do our best to sift through all this and make our decision.
The newspaper article I read, where a Muslim leader in Bali was teaching his gathering how to handle the fallout from the next bomb was one of the most disturbing to me (sorry, don't want to be offensive so will generalise about the correct terms)
Hope I have made myself clearer.
