I have now had a reply from my friend at the Bali Dynasty, and this is their agenda for the Melbourne Cup Day festivities.
The doors open at the Gracie Kelly Bar at 11am.
The race will be shown on the big screen and they will be holding a number of sweeps sold at varying prices.
Lunch will be available in the form of an Aussie buffet with meat pies, fish 'n chips, Irish fare as well, strawberries & cream and champagne will also be available.The cost of the lunch has not been decided yet.
There will be a "Best Hat" competition.
Last year was chock a block from 11am to 7pm, so they advise to come early as it will be a "first come first served" basis for table reservations.

I am hopeful of being there too, however,with hubby accepting an expat job, a relocation in the near future which overlaps with my planned Bali timeframe, and our house on the market, it may not happen. :-(
