It was with much saddness that I cancelled today.
I had booked through Garuda and the consultant told me that, whilst Garuda had not had many direct cancellations there had been heaps (and a lot still coming) from Travel Agents.
Whilst I was not really worried about terrorism I was concerned about the "gohst town effect and the report of people staying in hotels at night rather than risking it and going out at night. Having been to Bali when my wife and I were the only guests in a hotel I can tell you it aint much fun.
Other issues involved are that we are about to become grandparents for the first time. Both our Daughter-in-law and my 87 year old mum were stressing severely.
We will be back, hopefully in June next year. To those who travel in the meantime I respect you decision and hope that you all have a safe journey and a wonderful holiday. I look forward to many a JBR's.
