I'm always around, I'm addicted to the BTF.
Hazmd, feel free to email me. The $120 sponsorship money per year, not only covers all the students school fees, uniforms, books and where possible medical costs. We also manage to put away money to help the families of the children being sponsored. I came back from Bali one week ago. While I was there we found 1 family of hour people were living in a shell of a house, no roof, windows and doors. We also found a house where the heavy winds had ripped the roof of the house and the roof couldn't be found anywhere. We will have the new rooves put on to both houses before the wet season starts in late November.
We also found that the Mother of one of our students, had accidentally spilled boiling water over herself from chest to thigh. Her blisters were badly infected and she had not seen a doctor, she had no money. We arranged for a doctor to see her 3 times a week and she is improving daily.
These are a few things that we have done. When we take on the child's education we always help with medical and other needs where humanly possible.
We only enrol the children from the poorest of the poor. This is a hard call because there are so many people in Bali that are poor. By doing this we give these children the opportunity to have a better life where it would other wise not be possible.
