Hang in there. It's not going to stop unfortunately.
It's the same with a lot of things, the way you raise your children, the way you spend your money etc. People feel they have the right to tell you how you should run your life.
Unfortunately people can be very judgemental and like to force their ways on you. You just have to do what you believe in. Everyone is different and has different priorities in life.
Mine is living my life to the fullest.
Have a great time. Show them all your pictures and goodies when you get back.
