Too much to say and this is not really a JBR, but that will come later (well it is a very small JBR). Spent a few afternoons at the S&S. Didnt meet too many Ausies. Did meet Mick and Julie who are not Forumites, but were very nice people. We got a very nice welcome when we didnt turn up the night after the bombings. We came the following night, and all that had met us before all had a sigh of relief when they saw us walking towards them. (THANKS ALL)
We stayed at the All Seasons Resort Legian. LOVED it. Great NEW hotel. It is in JL Padma Utara near the Garden View hotel. It was a stunning room and the pool was small but only a few steps from the room. All rooms are pool facing. The staff were great and because it is a fairly small hotel, they all got to know us over the 11 days we were there. Sad that some may loose their jobs after the bastard terrorists bombed them. Heard the blast but thought it was fireworks till we got back to our hotel.
Then when we were due to come home, of course, the flight was delayed 24hours and so they (AP) put us up at the Ramada in Tuban. HUGE hotel and with its own beach front. The pool was warm as a bath and was just so awesome you have to see it.
Flight home was ok but accosted by Fedral Police to ask if we had taken any pictures of the bomb scene. They were not interested in ones 2 days after.
