yesterday, very sad & disappointed. Cut holiday short 8 days. We were in Tuban...Bali Hai....Bizarre if you didn't go to Kuta u wouldn't no anything had happened. Hard decision but have kids and families were worried at home. Kids were scared too. Heard the bombs but they weren't that loud just like a backfire from a car,didn't think anything of it. were at Jakarta at the time with friends.
Were booked with AP but Qantas took us home they were fantastic. Would have loved to have stayed ppl & place fantastic....so sad..........everything, but we are from Newcastle & it was a little 2 close to home for us.
Also for people with telstra, they will not charge for calls between midnight Saturday and 12pm Monday. You have to wait till u getyour bill and then ring 1800116203. They will adjust your account.
Poor Balinese are shattered that is the bit that hurts most the tears they are crying and apologizing to us......it's just not fair.
To everyone still going have a fantastic time, be safe and enjoy about all it is still a magical place and we will go back....
