We always take cash. Travellers Cheques incur a charge everytime you cash them I think. I keep all my money in the hotel safe, but take some out each day or two, and keep it in those little plastic lunch bags that seal, then put it in my bum bag. I take a credit card too, just incase, but have never had to withdraw money from ATM yet!
