DAY 9, 21ST SEPT.
Another great day in Ubud, but I am still unwell so brekky is all for Gary (lucky he is trim taut and terrific and can afford the extra calories)
We had run into Made Sebung 9great driver from last year) a few days earlier so we got him to drive us to our next destination of Sri Phala Resort at Sanur. I was amazed at the amount of traffic around; it is up a huge amount from last year. Sri Phala was all we hoped for and more. It is a small resort set off Hang Tuah (a 5 minute walk to the beach) and is quite difficult to find. We had a huge room that was absolutely gorgeous it was room 103 and was located poolside. While we were there we only saw 4 other ppl at the pool. This place was very quiet and serene, a wonderful place to get ready for a wedding.
Got an SMS from my son who said he needs lessons in bartering, so at least they are out and about, which is positive.
Went to Kuta to see how all the wedding guests had settled in, they are at BGH & Ramayana. Found one lot at the pool bar BGH very comfortable, in the pool with Bintang.....All seem quite happy and settled. (whew!! I am relieved) Also caught up with Peter & Andie and family who are also at BGH. Took one lot to Kuta art market and they found it a bit overwhelming, it was interesting cos' it brought back memories of my first trip to Bali. I hated it and wanted to come home, now 6 trips later I love it. Next stop Mandira to see the parents, their room is quite nice and the hotel is in a great spot right on the beach.
Dinner tonight was with Gary's family at Bali Mystique, 6 of us including drinks was RP693000 ($89-00) wonderful dinner and everyone was impressed by food and service at Norman's place. Gary and I finalised the wedding menu and are feeling comfortable with everything.
Also organised a tour for gary's parents up to Ubud for tomorrow.

Day 10, 22nd Sept.
Only one sleep till the big day! I am now off to the doctors to get antibiotics as I am still unwell (can't have a sick bride can we??). Gary tucked into Sri Phala's lovely breakfast beside the pool in tropical gardens.
Gary is off again to attempt to make the wedding rings (HMM one day before is cutting it too fine for me) He is stressed and I am disappointed as Sanur was meant to be time out for us both with no running around. He has a huge list of things he must do including buying pants for the wedding!!!!! I am relaxing by the pool today.
Gary has had a huge day, bought clothes for me, sarongs, wedding pants and he bought 2 lovely matching wedding rings, he is very tired and I think pretty exhausted.
Met mum & dad for dinner at Stiff Chilli on Sanur beach, nice place that was recommended to us all. Food was lovely with an Italian theme. We had drinks; bread, pizza, pasta, snitzel, coffee and deserts for 4 of us for RP277000.We would go back here in the daytime to enjoy the view next time.
Parents had a great day out with Putu, touring around seeing the sights and went to Bird Park and reptile park, Ubud and had lunch at Indus. They both had a very enjoyable day.
Last day of single life, tomorrow the wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
