I am in the airport in Bali and returning to Sydney after a great 10 days. The last few days have been stressful because at the end of it, we were in a place where people get killed by bombs. I have always supported the Balinese and have often agrued that we should go to Bali. I am however, not that sure anymore. Being here makes you look at everything and everyone differently, that is, could it happen again near me. There is alot of security and I felt safe in my hotel and in resturants, mainly in Seminyak, but outside of that I did not go anywhere. That is both because where we were staying was peaceful, and secondly, Kuta, Legian and Seminyak was very deserted.
Would I go again, I hope I will but at the moment I am happy to be going home. What really pisses me off is that these great people have been caught again in the horrible web.
I have said on this forum that a bomb can happen anywhere, but thinking of that, I am not too sure. There are safer places, but hopefully we will return some day.
