We are in a situation nearly identical to yours... family of 5.. mum, Dad and three kids, aged 5, 5 and 9. So eagerly counting down the days, that is, until that fateful night.
I am still keen to go (We are booked in at the Dynasty from the 16th to the 27th November) but my wife is very nervous and is thinking of cancelling or changeing our plans.
Just tonight i think she has started coming around. I keep telling her we have 6 weeks, and it's less than a week since it happened. I think in another week or so (God willing) when things have settled a bit more, people might be a little less jumpy about going back.
That's what I'm hoping, anyway.
We had the exact same discussion this evening...surely they wouldn't target a kids playground like Waterbom? Surely the Elephant park would be safe?
Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, I hope we can still muster up our courage and go. Most important if you (and we) do go is to show the kids we are strong, and not be looking over our shoulders the whole time. Send them the right messages.
