I never quite know how to take what even my closest Balinese friend tells me, she has told me before (in playful happier times) that she tells me what she thinks I want to hear, well when it is serious.
The Balinese hate us to be upset so they don't lie exactly rather they report the truth in such a way as to mislead you.
