Hi everyone this is an email I just recieved from Nicki.. might shed some light on how things are for Bali at the moment :)
"It's been a rollercoaster as anticipated. I've had a few cancellations but not many.
Many like yourselves were going to cancel but given a few days to get through all the feelings most are going any way.
I too am chasing extra nights for a client at Puri Santrian and have benn told they are full house....
Thus far there have only been two extra planes take people out of Bali which would number about 600. there were 7000 aussies on the ground at the time and all the rest are travelling when they were meant to.
The media is really giving it a good go and now doing the rumour mongering move. Wish they's show how many people are at the beach and out shopping.
I'm getting heaps of calls from clients saying they are still going and trying to cheer me up. For a number of reasons this saddnes me, not just the business side of things.
People who cancel just book elsewhere so same, same. I just feel like a rat deserting a ship every time I have to send one to Thailand.
I'm very happy to see that at this stage you have decided to go... Good for you and reagrds to your family.
