We stayed just arround the corner from this hotel at the Legian Paradiso. The White Rose is fine it's up a lane way back off the road surrounded by /walls and security on the gate (like most hotels).
Yes some people do not like Kuta but some people don't like to sit arround in the hills. I can not just sit arround reading and like to get out and mix. This i found hard to do away from the Kuta Legian area. Every one's holiday is different and we all like different parts of Bali. I think the days of Kuta drinking sceen are long over, where the streets would be clogged by bus loads of pub crawl patrons. Busses would have problems getting past each other and people were out at all hours all night long. The choises of restauraunts arround Kuta, Legian & Seminyak can not be matched by anywhere else on this island.
