Though I don't see how playing down the bomb, as the writer has in the first paragraph, is really going to help anyone except maybe those who want to hear stories like that to make themselves feel better. I'm sure the families here in Newcastle who lost loved ones and have critically injured family members and friends would not appreciate reading such a glossed over report of events.
