I personally preferred Tuban for shopping the locals just seemed nicer, check at Gang Samudra, there is a heap of shops along there Go to Annies Shop and ask for tony he is a Chacter, if you tell him Botha Matt from Oz sent you he will surely look after you....
Gang Samudra is of JL kartika and has Bakungs Beach cottages, and you can walk back up the beach with you shopping afterwards :)
or Tony & Asmoro can organise transport (Asmoro has a Kijang) Very Good rates and I felt safer with him than Taxi's If you take one but only use the Light Blue ones
