My parents and myself are due to fly out in two weeks, however, due to the latest developments we are more than likely not to travel as we were due to stay in Seminyak.
I feel terribly sorry for the balinese as I have been to Bali a number of times and loved every trip. I sat down today and even though I will end up loosing money because of one day difference my family would loose a whole lot more and I can't risk the hurt and pain they would feel "should" anything happen to us whilst over there. I would imagine the people who were over there and did get hurt or died due to the bombings probably said to themselves "it wont happen to me" I just don't think the risk is worth it for myself and more importantly my family they would be loosing three people, one family, and I know it would devistate them.
I feel that the people going still to Bali that your very brave people and good on you for being so strong, no one has the right to put anyone down because of how they feel. People need to understand we deal with issues such as these in our own way. It's easy for me to say your stupid for going don't you think of other people in your family who would miss you and who love you, but on the otherhand you feel you must go or you feel you don't want the terrorists to beat you well I will definately back you up because I wish I had that strength to do it, but I am happy in my decision as you all should be.
This Century has been one of such anger, saddness, bravery and most of all courage stand TALL Australians. No one is a coward for not returning to Bali were only human!
