this forum, to Filo + Mic and everybody who has helped and entertained The Lounge Lizard and myself for the last couple of months. I have spent months researching and asking questions to you all. You have been so informative and lots of fun.
It was a hard decision, but we were due to fly out on Thursday morning with AP from Adelaide. After talking to the travel agent-she showed me a memo to all agents, that reiterates, that any-one leaving now, with these specific government warnings will not be covered under the insurance clauses in event of harm etc.
This was to be my special trip for my 50th birthday on Monday 10.10, and I was to meet up with Snowy and the family. They have stayed to finish up their trip. They say it is very quiet (surprise, surprise) but people are stilling arriving. Our travel agent says there are masses of cancellations across the board.
I can't even get to Thailand,Phuket,Penang,Bangcock or K.L.on my dates, some times I can GET there, but not home to Adelaide within my time frame.
We are so terribly, terribly upset but thankyou to you all for your past help. Please all be careful.
