And they have a right to do so. But you also have a right to say to them: We know what you are saying, we have thought about it and we have decided that we want to go. We will, however, stay in touch (even better get them to call you - cheaper for you!). Now, please respect our decision.
May not make any friends, but as they are family, they have to love you anyway! :)
