We flew Garuda on Wed 21st from Perth.
As we were our way to the airport i had a message from a friend who was meant to be leaving AP at 10am the same day. We due to go at 2pm. They were still there and only left half an hour before us.
Anyway our concerns we would leave late cos of them didn't come true. we left on time!!
We flew Ap in January and found the service a little better but overall no real complaints about Garuda.
Arrives and found a jumbo from Japan had also just arrived. Needless to say customs was a nightmare. 30 mins in line to pay visa and then to the end of the nest line to be checked in. Nearly 1 hour later we were out.
At least our bags were all out. At this point glad we had organised transfers cos couldn't be bothered jostling for a cab.
Arrived a Jayakarta in Legian got changed and wandered looking for a bar. Found the Legian Beach Bar in our hotel and ordered a much needed Bintang. Lucky it was a happy hour cos they were a bit expensive at 18 000.
Our friends found us after 2 bintangs and off we went to tea. We went to la Mondes. Very nice and simple meal. Special of the night was a pina colda in a coconut. How could you go past that!!!! Well i didn't/ Vey nice.
Back to the hotel after tea. And in bed by 10pm. Early for us but we were just a little exhausted.
