to build the shopping centres like Centro and the big supermarket underneath it. When I was there in July I was amazed by the obviously new buildings with NOT A SOUL in them. Surely if the government received money from countries like Australia they could have spent it by helping out the poor Balinese rather than building westernised shopping centres which the locals obviously cannot afford to shop in. I for one am not looking for a Westfield when in Bali to shop in, rather the authentic Balinese shops. I wonder what will happen to these centres now.
