Well there has been much debate about the Indon ability and of course
desire to punnish terrorists etc. Indon has an extremely complicated
internal way of doing things. And yes the punnishment handed out to
alleged drug users etc, is often harsher than that handed out to
terrorists!! Now u nor I may not understand this, but u must consider the
way the Indon people think...and what they are programmed to think etc.
This goes to religion a lot, also power corruption and financial
considerations in general.
All of which is the last thing on most westerners mind, mine included. We
just see the pitiful sentence handed to the so called Cleric, as opposed
to C.rby, whom in any western counrty would have gone free due to lack of
eveidence, and bungling by the Police etc..
I agree with one thing .. a convicted Terrorists should have a mandatory
life sentance or death as the case may be.
As for ginving money to Bali Trusts.. I suggest somehow giving direct to
families u know if possible.. and if Indon proves by action not words they
are capable of preventing further attacks.. by all means go back to Bali. Howard said today, we will have to accept that this sort of thing will continue, and to expect more deaths from time to time.. that about sums it all up really.
