Hi there ! La Taverna is a smallish boutique hotel, medium - small size pool surrounded by concrete , not a lot of grassy grounds for children, but right on the beach and excellent mid-way position for dining and shopping . Not sure I would recommend it for a family, the guests seem older, European/American , quietly & peacefully dozing on sun lounges and may not be so child-friendly ..
If you want a large pool, Griya Santrian has 2 lovely big pools ( pretty sure one has swim-up bar) , extensive flat grassy grounds with plenty of hidey-places etc for playing , delicious pizza restaurant and a more family atmosphere, would be my pick in the mid price range :-)
