I am sure there are many of us on the forum who are back here in Australia feeling helpless, knowing what the Balinese are facing over the coming months.

One extremely rewarding and much appreciated way to help is to sponsor kids to help them get an education, help out with a charity or provide a donation to one of the organisations promoted here on the forum.

We were in Bali two weeks ago and were so very very fortunate to meet Helen Flavel and see her untiring work in Singaraja/ Lovina. We were priveledged to meet some of the amazing people associated with the foundation - Sukadana and his houseful of enthusiastic family and friends who are wholeheartedly working towrds setting up the learning centre as well as the foundations 'front line' men who watch out for particularly needful children who will benefit the most from sponsorship.

We were so very very priveledged to meet our sponsor child in a village near Tabanan, where conditions were extremely poor and quite hopeless. With the help of a few dollars, a sponsorship and the taking on of a child can make a huge difference to one life let alone the remainder of the family.

With the latest Bali tragedy, these organisations need our help even more. So do speak with Helen at the Helen Flavel Foundation or Noel of Rotary about how we all can help. Even if it is only a small gesture, it will all go directly to the benenfit of the balinese in a very direct and meaningful way.

Even if you feel that you cannot travel to Bali at this time, you can still support the Balinese. They are going to need all the help they can get over the coming months and years.
