Hi People just to let you know how things are, as I have been asked.
The Streets are very quiet now people are remarking that it's easy to walk along the main roads to cross without having to duck traffic.
There have been extra planes provided to get those that want to go home early; I think the Airlines have been as helpful as they can under the circumstances.
A lot of Tourists seem to be staying in their Hotels rather than go out during the day with just a few hardy souls shopping, I noticed Hotels were very busy.
It was even more noticeable at night when the place seemed really deserted, but it's what you would expect with all the uncertainty at the moment.
There was a good crowd of BTF and others down at Sammy's this afternoon including Roo-Ted, Fisho-Girl, The Cop, Jeff. It must have been busy had trouble getting a cushion to sit on, but the Bintang was cold as always.
TV here is very Graphic showing a Tourist video of the Terrorist walking through Raja's Restaurant to the Toilet then you see a big flash and bang as he was blowing himself up along with other people.
It then switches to a proper Television Camera and goes on to show in great detail the cleaning up of what's left of the terrorist.
All the Balinese Shops seemed to be open with all the staff showing themselves in front of, or in the shops, there is a sort of proud act of defiance in their stance of business as usual, even when there are no tourists to be seen.
I counted 6 Tourists on Jl Legian from Padma Street past Bintang Supermarket to the little local market.
I hope this gives you an Idea how it is, this is how I see it, and I hope it does not take as long as last time to get back to normal.
