After a couple of days of discussion and some fairly serious thinking - we have decided we are still going - me, hubby and 2 kids (13 & 9). I hope we will still be able to enjoy our long awaited family holiday although, no doubt, will not be quite as relaxed as we may have been - however, since 2002 (and I have been to Balie since then) time has the wonderful ability to lull us into a false sense of security - the risks yesterday are just as great as today or tomorrow - only more concrete again - we will go (the first time for the kids) and I hope we will enjoy and be able to lend support to the Balinese - I am by no means an adventurous type but refuse to be locked into holidays only within my own country (however safe that remains in the future is still to be seen). This has not been an easy decision for us as it is much easier when you're children are not in the mix - but we will be as wise as possible with our travelling and I suppose that is all we can ever be. I am new to the forum but would love to catch up with any of you over there at what I think (from my readings) is the S&S bar? (not sure of name exactly so will be pleased if you can fill me in) at Legian. Let me know.
