QANTAS put on 3 extra flights. That's Approx 230 per plane. Only the Sydney one was full. Darwin one not but not sure of numbers. Perth one 2/3 full. So that's only 500 people extra. I don't think Garuda put on extra flights (not certain though) but I know extra people left early.
The airport was not a lot busier than normal last night. The Australian/qantas line was the only one that was a little long as they had a flight to Sydney leaving at 10.00 (extra) and the normal one at 10.45. And the extra one to Perth at 00.40
I wouldn't call that mass exodus.
Will be interesting to see how full the flights are in the next few weeks/months.
I will check the Australian flights and let you know in a few days if you like.
