Following on from the positive response form my question, to post or not, here are the remaining JBR's, written prior to Saturday Nights infamy, I will not change anything as my attitude at the time of writing was, as you would expect after returning form a stunning holiday in Bali, very positive!
Day 6, this is the day of our Sons Birthday Party, being held at 'The Sands' Restaurant on the beach front at the Kumala Pantai Hotel, having previously been 'checked out' on the last Bali holiday, this turned out to be a real star performer.
All the arrangements being done by his Wife and Mother in-law, with much of the follow up bookings, buffet menu, including birthday cake, place settings, decorations and the like was carried out via e-mail from Aus, and they certainly lived up to all they promised.
We had 'taken over' one wing of the mezzanine floor, from memory there was about 20 of us give or take a couple, plus some small children, mostly asleep in their prams.
Unlike the picture on the KP website the main Restaurant area is now fully glassed in and air-conditioned, this made for a pleasant evening for the young ones sleeping.
The table layout, place settings, decorations, and service was excellent, the food was good and the drinks were reasonably priced, the chef and the waiters and waitresses were just wonderful, one even carrying around one of the small children who did not want to go to sleep for about 40 minutes, while the parents ate, before dropping off to sleep in his arms.
They have a sound system available, with a microphone if you need to make speeches, and you can bring along your own CD's to play.
An excellent evening was had by all, I can highly recommend this establishment if you are planning a celebration dinner, or even a wedding reception.
