Does that mean you should just ignore warnings and travel to an unsafe place and party it up?
To say no where in the world is safe is not responsible. There are areas that are safer than others. Iran is not safe. Switzerland and Monaco are extremely safe. Would you say they are the same just because there is some level of risk in both?
No.
Bali is not safe partially because the government is not doing what it takes to make it safe, partially because of the militia groups in the area and partially because the population has not confronted its problem head on.
If you are considering travelling to Bali I hope you don't end up having to deal with the authorities or the court system. In another country, you wouldn't be at risk to simply being put in prison for life without any type of a fair trial and with a population that is biased against you.
And I hope you don't end up the target of people who want to harm tourists with a government that is ineffective in dealing with them.
If you are a tourist, you are running a risk travelling to Bali that you don't run travelling to other countries. That is a fact. To say differently is patently false and misleading
especially given there was a bombing within the last few days itself and warnings of more to come.
Go yourself if you want to but please don't misinform those who are trying to make their own decisions with inaccurate statements.
