Bali's a main target because of the amount of tourist and the fact the Radical don't like the Balinese and the fact they get a very good living from tourism,..the radical of course see most of the tourist $$$$$ coming from booze, loud pop music,people dancing and enjoying themselves all of which the radicals are against....
Those involved in tourism regardless of their religion would be seen as betraying the principles the radical believe is the teachings of Islam.
This act's more than likely be related to the original Bali bombing attack which was related to the involvement of the West in various Islamic countries,.. so Iraq could be a part of it....JL has been critical of those countries that have sent forces to Iraq so it can't be ruled out.
Bali will continue to be a target,.. both the Indonesian and Australian Governments have been warning for some time that other attacks will happen,...I've no intension of going back to Bali, safer destinations are not that hard to find.....
The vary way the tourist industry is set up in Bali makes these type of attacks reasonably easy
