First, Indonesia IS NOT an Islamic State-- It's Constitutionally a secular Country, with an Islamic Majority-- and that's a big difference from an Iran that is an Islamic Stte.
As far as safety and travel, while I understand that people with young families need to take care of their responsibilities, I don't find an anti-Western bias in the vast majority of teh people.
The way the world is right now, we have faced attacks in NY, London, Madrid and Indonesia-- to feel totally safe people might never leave their homes, and that would truly be a great loss.
