I don't know what drove the thinking behind this, but, ask yourself, is London off the tourist map now? Or New York? Or Paris, where many thought would have been attacked by now? Are you using the train or bus services where you live? The latest series of bombings remind me of what someone said recently, that modern day terrorism is like a low grade fever with occasional acute flareups. My own attitude is stoicism, and the thought that even if I had been in Bali yesterday, the overwhelming probability is that I would still be around today to write this note. My wife and I are going on Thursday week. While in trepidation today, at this stage we intend to make the best of it, just as friends of ours are doing in London, New York, and, yes, Paris, Bali and Melbourne (recently cited as a probable target).
