Ijust came back from visiting friends with whom we are supposed to be flying to Bali with in Oct 29th to celebrate our 10th anniversary. (They were our best man and matron of honour) We spent the day excitedly making plans for our itinerary, and what to do and where to go. Of course Bomb talk came up, and I said I had the strangest feeling lately that something is about to happen. I even made plans on paper of how we could avoid Jalan Legian in getting to our hotel, and how we would stay one night in our package hotel then head out to safer areas. My friend (American) said I was being silly, and that she flies to USA every year and has learnt to live with the threat of terrorism. I travelled home, came on the forum and couldn't believe my eyes. Well guess who has just phoned me to say they are not going now?
My thought at this moment are that we will still go, if just in some small way to help out with the little we can. I love my gentle balinese friends, and I can't bear to think what this may do to them.
My heart goes out to everyone in Bali and around the world affected by this new atrocity.
