Hi Jenny. That's weird. When I was in the visa section of the Consulate here in Perth, there were several westerners aplying for visas and each was told quite emphatically - NO CASH!.
I can remember coming back from the PO and a woman passed me in the street heading towards where I just been. She was not pleased and mumbled some obscenity. Could have been cos it was pouring down with rain!.
I'm going into the Consulate on Monday to pick up my visa and I will mention what you wrote to them.
