from my first trip to Bali with my girlfriend, sister and her husband. We are from England and it was our first time in that part of the world and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Thought Bali was great and the people we met were very friendly. Stayed at the Bali Tropik in Nusa Dua and it was great. Had some good nights out in Kuta especially in the Stadium Bar watching the cricket and enjoying the banter. Didn't enjoy the countless numbers of street sellers trying to hassle us to buy their goods, although to an extent we understood that they need to to make money, but it was too much! The only real problem I had was when we arrived in the airport and the porters grabbed our trolleys. With the rumours of drugs rife I wanted to keep my bags to myself. That in itself was not a real problem but when they led us to a money changing booth and hassled us for a tip. Three of them surrounded my sister who is quite small and really scared her until we got rid of them. It really p*ssed me off how much they tried to force us to pay. However the rest of the holiday was great and I would recommend Bali to anyone.
