Hey there barnes_j,
Don't panic about being a first timer. You will meet many people at the hotel, bars and restaurants who will offer advice. I find this is a great part of travelling, meeting new people from all over the world. You will find that you end up doing things together, meals, partying, tours etc. Remember that there are no strangers, just friends that you haven't met.
Have fun, be sensible and enjoy the Isle of Smiles.
