I am not going again yet at this stage but have a friend there now. She says she feels very, very safe and comfortable security wise. The Balineese people are very friendly. They are just beautiful people.Please use the forum as you will learn so much, which will prove invaluble to your stay. Nothing worse than comming home and being asked if you went here or got or did that when you didn't even know about it in the first place. Use the forum as your bible and you'll do well.My friend has stayed in the melasti before and had no problems there.As for bird flu, read your forum again because it seems to me that it's lots of media hype. Can't stress enough, READ THE FORUM. Hope you have a great time and I bet it won't be your only trip. Have fun.
