Yes things are quieter but we felt very safe so much so the first night we ate at Dulangs which is 3 doors down from Rajas and the last night we went to Jimbaran Bay. There are security all over the place with metal detectors. Cars going into most hotels are checked with mirrors and some hotels are not allowing locals in unless they work at the hotel. We stayed one week at the Bounty and this was the case there. The first Friday we were there Bubba Gumps had a bomb threat and they reacted by closing the restaurant just to be sure. The balinese are taking safety of tourists very seriously.
