I have just got back from Bali on Thursday arvo. We had put safety tags on all our luggage and we had to have our bags searched before we could book in so they cut the tags off. They offered to replace these with black ties with no security numbers on at all. Luckily I had a few extra. The people that had gone to the trouble of wrapping their luggage also had it cut off and then searched. Some went and had it replaced but others didnt bother with it. We were not told we would be searched before we put the tags on our luggage or we would have waited till after we finally got to weigh in at the desk.
