Like Aminkila said, AlangAlang itself is a nice place.The Asmara Restaurant has very good food and also a library incase you would like to borrow a book or two. Chili Restaurant also have really good food, across the street you find Papaya. There are small restaurants by the beach at the old art market that I can recommend.
On Gili Trawangan you should try the tuna steak at the Livingroom. Down in Sentral you'll find lots of restaurants just have a look around.
