Day 12 - Monday 24th October

We were up at 7 am this morning after having an early night. Headed down for buffet breakfast at the hotel restaurant. After breakfast we headed the H elgie's shop (MC shop) to swap a couple of DVD's and PS2 games that didn't seem to work properly (7 in total). We ended up buying more DVD's and PS2 games and 2 more DVD cases. Total bill here 370 000 Rp (AUS $49.33). We headed back to our room to drop off these purchases and then went for a walk along Poppies II to try and find some of the other DVD's and PS2 games that H elgie was not able to supply. We went to 2 different shops where we spent 330 000 Rp (AUS $44.00) in one and then 300 000 (AUS $40.00) in the other.

We went to Rainbows Café again for lunch today. We both ordered club sandwiches however I only ate half of mine as I was not feeling very hungry. I failed to note how much lunch cost us but I know it was very cheap and good. I bought another Von Dutch denim mini skirt for our oldest daughter 60 000 Rp (AUS $8.00) and a Mooks denim mini skirt for myself 60 000 Rp (AUS $8.00). From another stall along our travels I bought a small pink zip up LV purse for our 1 year old niece 15 000 Rp (AUS $2.00). From yet another stall I purchased a brown LV two zip compartment purse for myself 55 000 Rp (AUS $7.33) and a small pink LV handbag which was also for our 1 year old niece 60 000 Rp (AUS $8.00). Final stop on this shopping outing was to Fast Eddy's stall opposite the Bounty Hotel where I bought 2 smocking tank tops for our eldest daughter, 2 small chiffon bather sarongs with beads on them for myself, and 2 hippy skirts also for our oldest daughter for 150 000 Rp (AUS $20.00). It was now time to drop all of this back to the room.

We decided to head down to the pool to do some sunbaking and have a swim. After a little while Mark headed back to the room for a grandpa nap while I stayed on at the pool and had a couple of cocktails at the swim up pool bar. While at the pool bar I met a couple who had arrived the day before and were also from Adelaide and 2 other girls from Perth. We had a great time chatting and having a couple of drinks. While in the pool we were approached and asked if we would like to go to Rock on Rivoli night at Rivoli's night club on Jalan Legian. It was 350 000 Rp (AUS $46.67) per couple for all you can eat and drink (8.30 - 11.30 pm) plus transport there and back. This also included an extensive list of cocktails. After quickly asking Mark if we could go (this is not usually our type of thing but hey we were on holidays) we all decided to make a night of it. We were to be picked up at 7 pm in the hotel foyer. At 6 pm we left the pool bar after several drinks and went back to our respective rooms to prepare for our night out. We met up again at 7 pm at the front of the hotel where we were quickly loaded into a van and transported to Rivoli.

At Rivoli's they had an extensive buffet of food available however all I had to eat was a small bowl of potato and leek soup. I just did not feel very hungry today however this would later prove to be my undoing. Mark and the others all ate well and enjoyed the food. At 8.30 pm the drinks began flowing. I started with a Pina Colada and a jug of Jungle Juice. Mark stuck to scotch and coke which would end up being a good thing for me. Shortly after the drinks began there was a couple of door prizes drawn (we had been given number tickets when we paid earlier in the day). I was lucky enough to win the first one and received a black 'rock on Rivoli' tank top. The first few drinks went down very quickly which was not a good thing after already having several drinks earlier at the pool bar and also having not eaten much all day. A second jug of Jungle Juice and I was well on my way. I went off to the toilet and when I returned I found I had been entered into the drinking competition. Well I wore most of it and didn't win. When I got back to the table as I was well and truly rocking by this stage and had lost any inhibitions I may have had, I had decided a change of tops was in order as the one I was wearing was saturated. Needless to say unfortunately there are photos floating around out there of me at the table in nothing but a bra. Mark was not real impressed and I can't say I blame him. From this point on the night became a bit of a blur after skulling the second jug of Jungle Juice. According to Mark the next morning, I disappeared up to the toilet with Mark in quick pursuit. He had figured I did not look so good. Just as well he is so in tune with me. After about 10 minutes of waiting for me to come back out of the toilet and there being no sign of me, he apparently asked one of the girls who was just heading in to just check on me. Apparently I was perched with my head in the toilet bowl out cold. After a few minutes of trying to roust me up Mark and this girl then decided to relocate me to the lounge in the entrance of the female toilets. After doing this however the vomiting started and not only did I completely cover myself but apparently also Mark as well. Just as well he loves me although at a time like this I'm not too sure why. There was quickly quite a crowd of onlookers in the doorway of the ladies toilet. It was then decided to send a message down to our group who thankfully were also ready to go as drinks how now finished. My bag etc was collected up by them and between Mark and security they managed to get me down stairs and out a back entry into an awaiting car. Thankfully by this stage the vomiting had ceased and I was just comatosed (as Mark put it). Once back to the hotel Mark apparently with the help of our 4 new friends managed to carry me back to the two girls' room. It was then decided a room swap for the night was in order as they were in a ground floor room and our room was upstairs. Mark did not like the chances of getting me upstairs.
