Do you know his size? Perhaps a T-shirt or polo shirt from your home country. If he has children then some lovely books for them would be appreciated. I like to buy red lipsticks (much cheaper over there 30,000-50,000) to give a driver who takes us out for the day. This is something he can give his wife/mother/girlfriend/sister -something they can wear for temple. A set of bowls with plastic seal lids, a set of bed sheets, or a few metres of pretty dress fabric. Going smaller, I have given out key rings and little diaries for the following year.
