It would appear while trying to give honest advice i'v been completely wasting my time..
This conversation started sometime ago on another thread and I must say as things have unfolded the early exchanges did mislead me this mayn't have been intentional,.. but it would appear Jo has made a decision and has posted on this forum to get people to agree with and support her dicision and not for honest advice.
This forum is full of mostly supporters and promoters of Bali so Jo will get all the support she needs,.. however some members try to be a little more open and honest with the down side..
Now to all the girls that have successful relationships or Marriages with Balinese,.. yes I know some are,.. and to address some points made: "not all these guys are Balinese they are many from other islands around Indonesia that play the same game."....... having lived in Bali for some years ,. yes that's true but Jo was specific and said her relationship was with a Balinese
"but think these sort of people are in many countries, not only Bali"..... maybe true, but do they take you home and show you what poverty they live in, sleeping on rags, let you take them clubbing every night while you pay,.... accept you sending them money...?and encourage you to Move to another country with you 4 kids
I know of some marriages that have worked out,. in most case the local has a good job and can support his wife,..
And Jo yes relationship don't work out in Australia among Australian,.. but we are talking about an Australia female 32y/o moving to Bali with 4 kids to be with a Balinese that she claims is from a family living in poverty and the boy now sleeps on the floor on rags........your::."and any way he isn't looking for the free ride to AUS because I am going to live in Bali in June next year with him and my 4 kids"........ "I seem to be a little different as I am really not young and stupid" Jo with all due respect I don't think stupidity is directly linked to young Girls
As I say I'm wasting my time,...you just don't move to Bali to live with 4 kids it's not that easy, if you marry him it's a little better but other than that,.. you must get sponsored,.. which he would do,... but that does restrict the time you and kids can stay in Bali,.. you can't work in Bali unless your married to him,.. the schooling of your kids unless going to the International school will be a problem..and while you claim he's not looking for a free ride obviously you and the kids a not going to live in poverty on the floor sleeping on rags,....you've also said:"The father of my kids is going to be paying there schooling and the maintenance money I get from him will be enough to get me by. Ketut does work"
It would appear while he may work his standard of living will go up dramatically at your expense,.. he won't be keeping you,... you'll be keeping him....a little honesty and a reality check please.
Again I wish you and the other girls that appear to have a little problem with me trying to be honest,...I wish you all the best...I shall waste no more of my time trying to be helpful
