re dobbing in the Bali 9. There is more to the story than the media reports. This is just as damaging as telling an untruth.
I read an article months ago that said the AFP did this WEEKS before the Bali 9 were arrested, so that the Indonesian police could watch them and catch their supplier. Interestingly they didn't catch him.
Before all this he was actually incarcerated at one stage but escaped! (Begs the question "how does one escape an Indonesian prison?" An inside job?) A week or so later after the arrests, he was shot in the leg by the police, whilst listening to music in his home, then carted off (according to several witnesses). Yet the Indonesian police reported that he was shot dead whilst resisting arrest. (Was someone in the force scared he might talk about who was actually helping him with his supply business?)
So the AFP did tip off the Indonesian police about the Bali 9 but it was in an effort to catch the much bigger fish. Pity the Indonesian police couldn't (or purposely didn't) follow up on the information. Their only offering was to arrest the Bali 9!
