you are definately doing the right thing by planning ahead. I think it makes the whole experience last longer and at least you are well informed ! You must try white water rafting guys. Something i wouldn't have thought of but went with a friend and had a ball. Was apprehensive ( I'm 40 and friend is 50 ) but it was unforgettable. You are going to love the exchange rate being poms. You are also best not to eat in the hotel unless meals incl. in price as eating locally is usually 10 times cheaper. Get aprox prices on drivers tours etc so you dont get ripped off. Don't let anyone pick up your bags either in the airport or anywhere else for that matter as they will want to be paid(tipped). Do your research and visit the forum often. Ps. good idea to carry wet towelettes & tissues everywhere as the toilet facilities often don't have them. All ok in the hotels tho.Also being as this is first trip, should also take anti diareah tabs with you just in case ! Hope you have fun. Can't wait to go back !
