In our opinion Bali is safe. Nusa Dua is quieter than Kuta. Nusa Dua hotels can be more expensive than some Kuta hotels. It is personal preference. We prefer to stay in Sanur at the Paradise Plaza Hotel. Cheaper hotel very good service and quality. You have short walk to beach, shopping markets and excellent dining. Kuta you have more variety to choose from in the way of restaurants and shopping that is all.
